12 Days of Cafe Davis 

Please make your reservations early. Due to the much shorter schedule and move to December, we have to limit seating each night to 8 guests. Dinner is always served at 8pm, with cocktails served at 7:30. As always, a dessert gratuity is appreciated (by your hosts and fellow guests alike!)

As we did a few years ago, the theme this year is "start with an ingredient." Thanks to those of you who suggested ingredients - it looks like yummy fun!

On the first day... December 2nd (Masa) 
Crispy potato sopes with salsa, goat cheese and herb salad
Chicken enchilada soup
Green chile tamale pie

On the second day... December 3rd (Eggplant)
Roasted eggplant dip with crudite
Rigatoni with eggplant puree
Grilled eggplant stacks with tomato and feta


On the third day... December 8th (Mushrooms) FULL
French onion soup stuffed mushrooms
Creamed mushrooms on chive butter toast
Polenta with wild mushroom sauce
Green beans with wild mushrooms


On the fourth day... December 9th (Tahini) FULL
Warm butternut squash and chickpea salad
Turkish-spiced chicken kebabs with pomegranate relish and tahini yogurt
Roasted asparagus with creamy tahini-peanut dipping sauce
Spiced sweet roasted red pepper hummus and pitas 


On the fifth day... December 10th (Andouille sausage) FULL
Split pea soup with andouille sausage
Sauteed andouille with greens and grits
Cajun sausage andouille dip

Tomatillo and black bean salsa with avocado, lime and cilantro with homemade tortilla chips
Jalapeno cornbread stuffing
Cilantro-lime chicken
Grilled sweet potatoes

On the ninth day... December 17th (Cinnamon) - 2 Slots
Cinnamon-spiced pork and plums
Mashed sweet potatoes brulee
Sweet and savory spaghetti squash


On the tenth day... December 18th (Piquillo pepper) - 8 Slots
Piquillo pepper and cheese toasts
Piquillo pepper-braised chicken with cannellini beans
Grilled corn with piquillo pepper butter and grated manchego
Lentil and piquillo pepper salad with toasted garlic vinaigrette


On the eleventh day... December 19th (Red curry) - 1 Slot
Thai red curry chicken
Red curry hummus and naan
Red curry scalloped sweet potatoes and parsnips


On the twelfth day... December 20th (Coffee) FULL
Mark Waugh suggested this ingredient - we shall dine in his honor, and throw some bacon in for good measure.
